Sunday nite

Hi Honey,

I was hoping to have lots of news for you but after being here all weekend I’m still not much better off. I arrived about 1pm Friday in the middle of an alert so couldn’t process anyway until tomorrow. Met Col Keeling the C.O. Friday evening and had a long talk with him about Denver. He’s leaving in Dec to take the 15th ADS thru training at Loury. It looks like I’ll be an inspector here in operations which will be a good job but won’t know for sure until tomorrow. Saw Callahan – he’s here, same as ever and wanted to know when you were arriving.

Yesterday I spent over at the house – its coming along fine. Tomorrow they start on the dry-wall so looks like we might make it prior to Apr 15 if the weather doesn’t interfere. We’re in good shape there. They are working Sats too – a 5 day week. All are sold and all but one are military – he’s the bread man you saw.
Spent all day today at the Barr’s – they are find and Marge is anxious to see you. Wants you to come down for a couple of days – I said I didn’t think so but we’d see. Tommy is a real corker – stocky and a live wire and Donna is taller than Marge. We’ve yak’d from noon to nine pm steady.

All this week Stonybrook is going thru our annual inspection and Col K intimated he might send me back to the farm for the week since I couldn’t start work anyway for a week so if I pop in don’t be surprised. On the other hand don’t be disappointed if I can’t come.

We’ll work shifts (1hr and 12 hr alerts) every other week so theoretically I could come home every other weekend. We’ll see.

Have a nice BOQ – large room and private bath - $5 a month.

More details later after I clear in and find out more.

Miss you like mad.

All my love,
Hubby

P.S. Will get a mail box number tomorrow.
