Tuesday

My Dearest,

This is the first chance I’ve had to write. I called the Stueby’s when I got in Sunday and immediately was invited out there last nite. We had dinner and talked to midnite, so was pretty bushed when I got home.
The flight down was fine to New Orleans and lousy from then on. Had a DC-7 up til then but ended up in a DC-3 and puddle-jumped our way across Miss and Ala. It was hot and rough. Went to bed about 5:00pm and slept til 6:00am yesterday.
The school has been dull and repetitious up to now but starts on the new stuff (to me, that is) tomorrow. The last three days should be pretty good.
Heat and humidity here are terrible. Can hardly get my breath and am sweating constantly. It’s miserable!
How are you and Jimmy? Take things real easy til I get home and I’ll to them for you.

Am due in Denver as follows:
Eastern 570 to Birmingham Sat 26th
Eastern/Brain (sp?) 902 to Denver
Arriving 8:05pm

Miss you all like mad – thank heaven its only a few more days to go.

Can’t write anymore – am soaking the paper with perspiration. Will turn out the light and just swelter.

Be careful of yourself – miss you and love you real much, honey.
